Sky (TM) Plus and Sky (TM) - STORAGE BACKUP SERVICE

Backup of Sky Box to External drive, DVDs. Useful before a replacement box is obtained in order to preserve your recordings. Also very useful before upgrading the size of your storage. A full disk image can be made prior to upgrade to be restored onto replacement or larger capacity hard drive. Home visit or sky box by post required. Procedure takes a single approx 30-90mins ( SkyPlus ) or 60-120 minutes (SkyHD) to complete ie obtain a full valid backup image of your system. Sky box will need to have lid removed for procedure so may invalidate warranty. Box will be reassembled and work normally. Disk image can be stored or used as an upgrade, or specific individual recordings transferred to another drive.

Sky + (TM) - STORAGE UPGRADE

If 40 hrs of recording time is simply not enough, and you're always at the low end of your recording percentage time left, you only used to have one option, your recordings or copy them to DVD or VHS. This was often time consuming as the Sky (TM)COPY function requires real-time output from the box so it takes an hour to COPY 1hr of recorded material to a DVD Recorder or VHS tape via the SCART lead. We can upgrade the storage in your Sky(TM) box to provide far more than double the original recording hours at a realistic price. Your original recordings can be retained and more storage added by replacing your storage with larger capacity storage. Get that 3% free figure up to 93% free or beyond with a replacement storage solution! We require access to your Sky(TM) box for approx 1 hr to upgrade its storage. This can be done n site or by sending the unit to us for upgrade or backup, upgrade and restore, and return.
